In creating this 2024 moon calendar, I wanted to make something that was more collaborative, that involved participation from my community. I have long been fascinated by Jungian psychology and the eternal nature of symbols, so I asked folks to send me lists of the symbols that were most precious to them. I chose to illustrate the things that were often repeated and that felt especially potent for the coming year in a tapestry-like border, calling to mind the idea of quilts and various parts coming together to make a whole. In essence— unity.

Serpents, butterflies, hearts, daisies, hands, roses, ribbons, birds, yin-yang, moons, rainbows, forget-me-nots, vessels, seashells, sunflowers, and eyes all made it onto the calendar. I was so touched by the sea of symbols offered to me by the community, I wish I could’ve illustrated them all. <3

11’’ x 14’’ ~ printed on heavy matte stock. Astrological notation is given for the new and full moons, coordinated to PST time. If you live outside of this time zone, you can still use the calendar, but the occasional zodiac sign might differ by a few hours.
