The first in a series of eight illustrations celebrating the pagan holy days, also known as sabbats. Made to adorn one’s altar, laden with symbolism and herbal correspondences to help one connect to the cycle of the season.

Imbolc comes in early February, and is a time for nourishing the body and dreaming about how you’d like to unfurl come spring. It’s a moment to settle into the womb of the year, moving slowly and gently, inviting flames of inspiration to flicker your way.

This altar artwork is part of a collaboration with Green Muse Herbs, to accompany a seasonal tincture made by Anna, lovely herbalist and proprietor of the local apothecary.
